Frühgotische Gründung im 13-14 Jh.; Gaden Kirchenburg mit Baubestand der Gaden 15-18 Jh.; im Südwesten zusätzliche Unterkellerung zur Erhöhung der Lagerkapazität. Neubau der Kirche im 19 Jh., dabei Abtragung der Gaden im Südwesten sowie des Wehrgangs der Kirchhofmauer, Gaden mit neuen Satteldächern versehen. Beeindruckendes Gesamtbild einer nahezu vollständig erhaltenen Gaden-Kirchenburg. Founded in the 13-14th. century in early Gothic style, the church was complete rebuild in the 19th century. Here we have a Gaden Church-Castle of great dimensions (not the greatest at all, respectively) of which the array of the Gaden is nearly complete. Just in the Southwest the curtain with the Gaden was removed in 19th. century, at the other parts of the curtain only the battlement was removed. Therefore, the former desk-shaped roofs of the Gaden were replaced by cross-beam shaped ones. In the Southwest, where the terrain is anklet down against the village side, great cellars were carved in to increase the storage capacity. Some of them have their entrances through tunnels.
