Deutsch Landstadt. Romanische Gründung. Im 15/16. Jh. Bedeutender Ausbau der Stadtbefestigung, besonders der Stadttore mit teils bastionierten Vorwerken. Umfangreiche Teile der Stadtbefestigung (restauriert) erhalten, beeindruckendes Gesamtbild. Innenstadt mit Gebäuden der verschiedenen Architekturepochen (Renaissance-Barock) in Fachwerk- sowie Werkstein. Stadtkirche in zentraler Lage (mit einst festem Kirchhof) mit hervorragendem Eindruck. Die Kirche selbst Gotisch erneuert mit sehenswertem „freistehendem“ Treppenturm am Kirchturm. English This famous landsmen’s town was founded in the Romanesque period. The town wall with its rounded towers and gate houses, of which especially the latter were strengthened with bulwarks for fire arms within the 15/16th century, is nearly complete and gave a tremendous composition, while furthermore the trench area, meanwhile filled, is in the foreground,. The inner town was renewed in the Renaissance mostly, and the town hall with its perron is an eye-cater of its own. The town church, nearly centered within the elevated courtyard cemetery was fortified by itself and still today this view does leak comparison in wide circumference.
