Einfluß der Schnittgeschwindigkeit auf die Spanentstehung beim Zerspanen eines Werkzeugstahles mit hartmetallbestückten Werkzeugen im Langdreh- und im angenäherten Orthogonalschnitt. Variation der Schnittgeschwindigkeit erzeugt unterschiedliche Lamellen im Span und Bildung von Aufbauschneiden. Lupenaufnahmen in Zeitdehnung.
The film shows the machining process during the turning of tool-steel C 45 W 3 with carbide tipped tools. The work sample was machined longitudinally and vertically, and the process was filmed both at normal speed and with several magnified shots with a slow-down to suit the respective cutting speed. The change in the cutting speed (4 to 250 m/min) in the individual film shots shows the great efffect on the formation of the cuttings, visible from varying lamination in the cutting and from the formation of built-up edge.
