Working Girls

Molly is just another typical working girl - Yale graduate, freelance photographer, and part-time prostitute. Working Girls tracks Molly through her daily grind at an up-market Manhatten brothel, in the employ of the odius, money-grubbing maddam, Lucy. After a long shift of doing business with a picaresque assortment of clients, from Fantasy Fred to the misogynistic Paul - Molly starts to wonder if the money is really worth it.By feminist director Lizzie Borden, Working Girls is a ruthlessly detached look at the sex industry. Frequently humorous and occasionally touching it offers a scathingly honest account of the prostitute's lot. Don't expect Pretty Woman!
