Background

Why is it worthwhile for museums to present their objects online? What are the prerequisites and work steps connected with this? These questions were addressed by the Museum Workshop Baden-Württemberg on June 21 and 22, 2021. Anna Gnyp, Stephanie Götsch and Chiara Marchini as well as Christian Gries report on the presentations and discussions of the workshop.

The Service Centre Digitisation of the Federal State of Berlin is an institution for interdisciplinary advice on support and coordination of digitisation projects and – just like the Digitisation Funding Programme Berlin which was launched at the same time – is now 5 years old.
