„Coding da Vinci“ – Preisverleihung am 6. Juli 2014 in Berlin

‘Coding da Vinci’ – awards ceremony in Berlin on 6th July 2014

20.06.2014

Coding da Vinci

The Deutsche Digitale Bibliothek (DDB) is hosting, together with its partners, the first German culture hackathon. Participants are invited to present their results in Berlin, followed by an awards ceremony.

Under the slogan ‘Coding da Vinci’, for the first time in Germany, programmers, designers and games enthusiasts were invited to liaise with cultural institutions during a hackathon to develop digital applications based on cultural information.

After a ten week period working on their ideas and applications, using cultural data in digital format, the teams of developers, designers and games enthusiasts will present their results on 6th July. A jury will select the best and most useful applications and ideas in five categories.

The results from the ‘Coding da Vinci’ project will be published under open licence.

All interested parties are warmly invited to attend the awards ceremony!
