The film shows the principal stages in making peats for use as fuel by the "peat-baking" method: Peatmud is prepared, shifted into wooden moulds consisting of several compartments, and smoothed. In the drying-place the mould is removed and filled again. The formed sods are stacked for drying first in small towers, then in small pyramids.
