Guro (Westafrika, Elfenbeinküste) - Tanz zur Schilderung eines beendeten Krieges

Im Dorf Zrazra mimen Krieger der Guro tanzend ihre Funktionen im Kampf: der Häuptling mit seinen drei Fetischen, sein ihn beschützender Bruder, der Wasserträger, der Kopfabschneider, der Kundschafter u. a. Mehrere der Tänzer tragen Gewehre. Drei Musikanten begleiten den Tanz, indem sie auf Hohleisen schlagen.
Old and young Guro warriors do a mime dance of their duties during a fight: e. g. the "Fourrier" who offers palmwine to the thirsty warriors, and especially the great warrior of the village with his three fetishes. The fetishes make certain that his shot will be unfailing, and at the same time protect the warrior against any harm. Three iron bells are rung as an accompaniment.
