Das Archiv der Regensburgischen Botanischen Gesellschaft von 1790 e.V. wird seit Beginn der Gründung am 17. Mai 1790 geführt und ist das Archiv der ältesten noch bestehenden botanischen Gesellschaft der Welt. Seit 1984 befindet es sich als Dauerleihgabe in der Universitätsbibliothek Regensburg. Enthalten ist eine Vielzahl unterschiedlichster Dokumente, darunter Sendschreiben, Reden, Sitzungsprotokolle, Dankesadressen an die Gesellschaft, Manuskripte, Expeditionsberichte, Druckwerke und Bildmaterial, sowie eine umfassende Korrespondenz mit Mitgliedern, Behörden und Autoren. In der Regel handelt es sich um Einzelblätter, mit einer Gesamtseitenzahl von ca. 34 000. Erschlossen ist der Archivbestand durch die Universitätsbibliothek über Kalliope ([https://kalliope-verbund.info/de/index.html](https://kalliope-verbund.info/de/index.html)), die urheberrechtsfreien Dokumente sind digitalisiert und für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich.
