Die Bibliothek von Augustinermuseum und Museum für Neue Kunst ist eine öffentlich zugängliche Spezialbibliothek mit den Fachgebieten Kunst- und Kulturgeschichte vom Mittelalter bis in die Gegenwart.
Der Gesamtbestand umfasst über 70.000 Titel. Ein Sammlungsschwerpunkt sind nationale und internationale Ausstellungs- und Museumskataloge, die über Schriftentausch erworben werden. Hinzu kommen Künstlermonographien und Literatur zur kunstwissenschaftlichen Methodik.
Die Bibliothek wurde bereits bei der Gründung des Augustinermuseums 1923 eingerichtet. Durch die Aufnahme großer Büchersammlungen aus Privatbesitz, unter anderem von Fritz Geiges und Prof. Hans H. Hofstätter, wuchs ihr Bestand kontinuierlich.
