1926 portrait of Emmeline GOULDEN PANKHURST (1858-1928). This political, British woman fought for the women's right to vote at the end of the XIXth century, early XXth, first within the Liberal Party, then within the Worker's Party. To give more weigh to her demands, in 1903 she created the Social and Political Women's Union and militated in an awesome manner. The numerous demonstrations she organized got her arrested five time between 1908 and 1913. Freed in 1914, she supported the war effort and went to
