Maurische Landschildkröte. Mit Rammen wirbt das Männchen um das Weibchen. Bei der Paarung steht das Männchen aufgerichtet hinten am Panzer des Weibchens mit geöffnetem Maul. Das Weibchen pendelt mit dem Kopf hin und her. Mit Rammen und Beißen vertreibt ein Männchen einen Rivalen.
The mating behaviour of the spur-tighted mediterranean land tortoise is shown. A male drives away a rival male by ramming and biting it. During courtship the male also rams the female. Copulation is performed while the male stands upright behind the female leaning on her carapace and opening the mouth. During copulation the female swings her head from one side to the other.
