Seeregenpfeifer. Beim Verleiten, das durch einen möglichen Raubfeind ausgelöst wird, drückt sich der Vogel, gleichzeitig auf Deckung bedacht, fest an den Boden und gebärdet sich mit halb bis vollends geöffneten Flügeln so, als könne er nicht mehr fliegen.
Kentish plover. In distracting behaviour, triggered by a possible predator, the bird presses itself down on the ground and behaves with half-spread wings as if it could not fly.
