De la crisis política a la transición pactada: el caso de México en perspectiva comparada

El presente artículo analiza en perspectiva comparada las características de los procesos de negociación presentes en las fases de instauración de regímenes democráticos. Entre otros elementos, se estudian los factores que favorecen y que dificultan la transición pactada, el tipo de actores que son incluidos o marginados de las negociaciones, los condicionamientos externos, etcétera. El artículo pone particular interés en el caso mexicano, cuyas posibilidades de culminar con éxito su actual proceso de transición son todavía inciertas.
This article analyses and compares the characteristics of the negotiation processes, which is the basis of the instauration of democratic regimes. It looks at the factors that contribute to and impede and agreed-upon transition, the type of actors included in or excluded from negotiations, external constraints, and other factors that influence this process. This article takes an especially close look at the Mexican case, where the eventual success of the transition process is still uncertain.
