1928 portrait of Emeline PANKHURST, the famous British suffragette. She participated in demonstrations for women's voting rights and used violence. She spent 30 discontinuous days in prison. England having passed the women's right to vote in 1918, she was elected to England's Parliament and died fighting for the right to contraception.
