Why did ozone concentrations remain high during Shanghai's static management? A statistical and radical-chemistry perspective

Abstract NO 2 HO 2 RO 2 5.1 × 10 6 4.7 × 10 8 2.6 × 10 8 molec. cm - 3, respectively, representing an increase of about 30 % compared to the levels in 2020 and 2021. Although HONO photolysis was the main contributor to the primary source of RO x RO x NO 2/NO 2 + + NO 2/NO 2 NO 2 levels due to static management is the underlying cause of the increase in ozone concentration in Shanghai.
