Numerous stripeless tree frogs inhabit a water basin on Tenerife (Canary Islands). After sunset the males call vigorously. The calling frogs are mainly in the shallow areas along the shore and maintain only small distances between themselves. Three types of call - mating call, territorial call, release call - are presented; a number of scenes demonstrate the procedure of calling.
