Während des Ratha-Jatra-Festes wird das Abbild des Gottes Jaganath aus seinem Tempel in Puri in einem großen, mit Blumen, Tüchern und Bildwerken geschmückten Tempelwagen von gläubigen Hindus um den Tempelbezirk gezogen. Ausschnitte vom Verladen des Götterbildes in den Tempelwagen und von seinem feierlichen Umzug.
During the Ratha Jatra festival the god Jaganath leaves his temple at Puri, to be pulled by devout Hindus round the temple confines in a great temple-car, which is decorated with flowers, drapes and sculptures. The film shows extracts of the image of the god loaded onto the temple-car and of the solemn procession.
