De la personalidad autoritaria a la cultura cívica: de Adorno a Almond y Verba

Departamento de Política y Cultura de la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, plantel Xochimilco El objetivo central de este artículo es demostrar que la teoría de la cultura política se desprende y se funda en buena medida sobre las teorías de la personalidad desarrolladas ampliamente en el campo de la psicología social; más específicamente, el texto pretende mostrar que el concepto de cultura cívica se desprende en cierto modo del de personalidad autoritaria, introduciendo en la ciencia política algunas de las limitaciones explicativas que en el terreno de la sicología tiene dicho concepto.
The central point of this article is to show that the theory of political culture follows and is based to a certain extent on the theories of the personality developed widely in the field of social psychology; more specifically, the text aims to demonstrate that the concept of civic culture is the result, in a certain way, of an authoritarian personality, introducing into political science some of the explicative limitations that this concept has in the field of psychology.
