Telemonitoring – Regulations and Opportunities

Abstract: Regulation compliance, privacy, and security issues all need to be taken into consideration while using remote patient monitoring. This article on current developments in remote healthcare and monitoring sheds light on contactless techniques and draws attention to the difficulties still facing the deployment of remote patient monitoring. It is summarized how remote patient monitoring is already being used, paying special attention to Germany and its regulatory framework.
