Lebendige Bibliotheken - Personalgewinnung und -entwicklung in Krankenhausbibliotheken

Abstract: There are many types of libraries and all of them struggle to a greater or lesser extent with the issue of staff recruitment and development. With the involvement of colleagues from four hospital libraries, this article examines the question of how new staff is recruited. What requirements have medical librarians to meet? What skills and qualifications do applicants need to have and which can be acquired on the job? How are suitable applicants made aware of the announced positions and how can the employee be retained in the long term once the position has been successfully filled? The article takes a closer look at these and other questions, presents best practices and shows possible strategies for recruiting and developing staff
Abstract: Bibliothekstypen gibt es viele und alle ringen mehr oder weniger mit dem aktuellem Thema Personalgewinnung und -entwicklung. Unter Einbeziehung von Kolleginnen aus vier sehr unterschiedlichen Krankenhausbibliotheken wird in diesem Artikel der Frage nachgegangen, wie neues Personal rekrutiert wird. Welche Anforderungen haben die Fachbibliotheken an das künftige Personal? Welche Fähigkeiten und Qualifikationen müssen Bewerber:innen mitbringen und welche können im Job erworben werden? Wie werden geeignete Bewerber:innen auf die ausgeschriebenen Stellen aufmerksam und wie kann, wenn die Stelle erfolgreich besetzt wurde, der:die Mitarbeiter:in langfristig gehalten werden? Diese und andere Fragen werden im Artikel näher beleuchtet, Best Practices vorgestellt und mögliche Strategien zur Personalgewinnung und -entwicklung erläutert
