Zusammenfassung: The exhibition Trésors enluminés de Normandie: une (re)découverte, organized by the Musée des Antiquités de Rouen, is interested in an unknown facet of the medieval and Renaissance collections of Norman museums and collections. Illuminated manuscripts and leaflets suffer from being greatly scattered, and while in France the majority of them are preserved by public libraries or archive centers, museum exhibits are most often poorly documented. Nevertheless, they are precious testimonies of the art of illumination. In collaboration with the IRHT and the INHA, the Musée des Antiquites shows the discoveries made in Normandy, from the simple sumptuousness of the ornate letter to manuscript painting. Echoing the archaeological precociousness that emerged in Normandy at the beginning of the 19th century and to which the Musée des Antiquités owes its creation, the catalog also proposes a journey in the more general rediscovery of the legacy of illuminations.
