The film shows the ascent of the airship in Friedrichshafen, the activities of the ground crew, and later on, during the crossing of the Atlantic the navigation of the airship and the life aboard. On the flight to Rio de Janeiro the "Graf Zeppelin" passes the isle of Fernando de Noronha and landed for a short stop in Recife de Pernambuco. Then, following the coast to Rio the cities Salvador de Bahia and Illeus can be seen. This film documents the first regular passenger air traffic across the Atlantic, which was inaugurated in 1931 by the Zeppelin Company.
