Verificaciones y pronósticos en el conflicto de Cachemira

En este artículo, la autora analiza el largo y tormentoso proceso del conflicto indo-pakistaní alrededor de la región de Cachemira así como la búsqueda de una resolución definitiva. Pone énfasis en que este conflicto ha estado profundamente determinado, desde su mismo origen, por los mecanismos de poder e influencia que agitan la arena internacional y explica cómo el ejercicio de reordenamiento mundial iniciado el 11 de septiembre ha tenido una repercusión directa en su estructura. Asimismo, examina los riesgos que representan los grupos islamistas internacionales en la resolución del conflicto en su intento por capitalizar el apoyo de una población que, básicamente, aspira a encontrar la paz.
In this article, the author analyzes the long and stormy process of the Kashmir Conflict between India and Pakistan as well the search of a definitive resolution. The author emphasizes that this conflict, from its same origin, has been deeply shaped by power and influence mechanisms which shake the international arena, and explains how its structure is being directly affected by the course of world reorganization initiated on September 11th. She also examines the risks that international Islamist factions means in the resolution of the conflict in their attempt to gain the support of a population who basically aspires for peace.
