Yehudiyah gizʿit : ben sham le-khan-Ḳovnah ṿe-Erets Yiśraʾel
A biography of Nechama Boruhsohn, from Kovno, written in the first person by her daughter Safira Rapoport. Describes the German occupation of Kovno in 1941, the Lithuanian pogroms, and life in the ghetto, as well as activities of the underground Zionist youth movement Irgun Brit Zion, of which she was a member. In 1943 she was interned, with her mother, sister, and brother in a nearby labor camp. In 1944 her mother was deported and killed her brother was sent to Kaufering, where he survived. Boruhsohn and her sister Leah were sent to Stutthof and worked in many of the satellite camps. In January 1945 they were taken on a death march and escaped just before the liberation. In 1946 Boruhsohn travelled to the U.S. and met her father, who had left before the war in 1947 they emigrated to Eretz Israel, where they joined her brother and sister.
