The film shows how a platypus (Ornithorhynchus anatinus) walks, swims and looks for food above and under water. Walking the webs of the forefins lie inward while the hind fins are put outward. The animal swims only with its forefins, while hind fins and tail are only serving as a helm. The platypus searches for food among plants of the bank with quick movements. The bill is going through the ground with oscillating movements. The Ornithorhynchnus scratches his head with a hind foot lifting the arm of the corresponding side.
