The Deutsche Digitale Bibliothek at the large trade fairs in March

If you visit the CeBIT in Hanover or the Library Congress and the Book Fair in Leipzig in March, you are very welcome to pay us a visit at our stands. This year we are present at the event once again with talks, consultations and stands and we look forward to your visit.

In detail:

CeBIT Hanover 14 – 18 March 2016

The CeBIT is the world’s largest IT trade fair – this year’s motto: “Discover d!conomy”, referring to the increasing digitisation of society and economy. Accordingly the main focuses of the trade fair are on big data, communication and networks as well as on IT security.

The German Digital Library will be presented at the stand of the Bundesministerium des Inneren (BMI) (Federal Ministry of the Interior). This is in the Public Sector Parc, Hall 7, exhibition space A 58. It is part of the government/state joint area "Government for you" with an overall size of around 2,300 square metres.

Sample applications with direct relevance for the consumer will be shown at the exhibition space “Digital Society” at the stand of the Bundesministerium des Inneren. The German Digital Library and projects of the association “betterplace.org” will be presented.

Once more the supporting programme “Leipzig reads” will entertain the visitors with over 3,000 contributors at over 400 event locations. One of the main focuses of the programme this year is “Europe21. Thinking Tomorrow’s Society.” Analyses, facts, experiences and future scenarios of the Europe of the future will be presented in the course of this, and questions about immigration and how the European governments are dealing with refugees will be discussed.

At the German Digital Library’s stand you can obtain information on the current progress of projects, new data partners and, for example, virtual exhibitions. The Archive Portal D, the archival overview of the German Digital Library presents itself at the German Digital Library’s stand, too.
