Am 20. Mai findet die Veranstaltung "Von Daten und Portalen" statt, bei der sich Kulturinstitutionen aus Schleswig-Holstein über Open Access und neue digitale Entwicklungen informieren können. Durchgeführt wird sie von der Coding da Vinci-Geschäftsstelle, den Fachstellen Archiv und Museum sowie der Deutschen Digitalen Bibliothek. Eine Anmeldung ist noch bis zum 19. Mai möglich!

On 24th and 25th April, the time had come: The kick-off of Coding da Vinci Schleswig-Holstein 2021 took place. The poetry slammers Selina Seemann and Björn Högsdal led through the programme, which was realised completely online.

The annual conference of the Deutscher Museumsbund (German Museum Association) will take place from 2nd to 5th May. The Deutsche Digitale Bibliothek (German Digital Library) will be participating with two formats.

Am 14. April 2021 findet der internationale Tag der Provenienzforschung zum dritten Mal statt. Diesen Anlass nutzen die SLUB Dresden und die Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin zusammen mit der Staatsbibliothek Berlin, um Einblick in die Arbeit ihrer Provenienzforscher*innen zu geben.

"FabSeal" and "Plantala" are the projects from the Coding da Vinci Niedersachsen 2020 (Lower Saxony 2020) hackathon which have now been each awarded two of the total of four scholarships for the further development of their applications.

That which began as “Horizonte” (“Horizons”) at Coding da Vinci Saar-Lor-Lux 2020 is now an elaborately designed concept application, which allows all museums of fine arts which are eager to try out new things, to communicate the creative work of the artists they exhibit to a young and young at heart public in a very contemporary manner.

Earlier this week, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) handed down its decision in a preliminary ruling case (Ref.: C-392/19), which was initiated back in 2019 by the German Federal Supreme Court in Karlsruhe (Ref.: I ZR 113/18).

The impressive demand, which the Deutsche Digitale Bibliothek has achieved since the opening of the application procedure on 25th February 2021, shows that the funds available for digitisation purposes can only meet the needs of cultural and knowledge institutions to a small extent.

More than 2 million euros are available for digitisation projects within the framework of the project «Nutzerorientierte Neustrukturierung der Deutschen Digitalen Bibliothek» («User-oriented restructuring of the German Digital Library»), funded by the Minister of State for Culture and Media. Applications may be submitted by cultural and knowledge institutions from 25th February 2021.
