Archive NRW now in the Archivportal-D again
New data from our data partner Archive in Nordrhein-Westfalen (Archives in North Rhine-Westphalia) have now been online with us since last week! In one fell swoop, a total of holdings from 59 archives could be thus brought up to date with us or newly uploaded.
A fair amount has been done again behind the scenes: the new version of our data partner "Archive in Nordrhein-Westfalen" was launched at about the same time as the big relaunch of the Archivportal-D last year. Since then, the Archivportal-D has been busily working together with the colleagues from NRW in also transferring the data from Archive NRW to us.
The new data from Archive NRW have now been with us in the Archivportal-D and online in the Deutsche Digitale Bibliothek (German Digital Library) since last week!
In one fell swoop, a total of holdings from 59 archives could be thus brought up to date with us or newly uploaded.
We are pleased to welcome 4 new partner archives that are now making their holdings researchable with us via Archive NRW. – And others should follow: not all of Archive NRW’s partner archives could be processed within the scope of this first delivery. In future, the data from Archive NRW should be brought up to date with us twice a year. In doing so, the last gaps should be closed little by little.
You can now research into almost 2.2 million data sets from the whole of North-Rhine-Westphalia in the Deutsche Digitale Bibliothek and in the Archivportal-D. It’s all there: from state, district, municipal and political archives up to church, business and university archives. More than 137,000 documents from the archives are also provided with digital copies, and the proportion is rising.
Have fun browsing and we wish you a lot of success in your research!
